ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

As a hobby during high school, Daniel DuVerney, a native Chicagoan, began his early photography career. Enlisting in the U.S. Army after high school, he served as a photographer for NATO while stationed in Europe. Daniel's duties included photographing dignitaries, diplomats and upper echelon officers as part of his work for European and U.S. military publications.

After military service, Daniel furthered his education at Columbia College (graphic design), and Ray-Vogue College of Photography, graduating with honors.  Daniel then began working, as a photographer's assistant at various Chicago studios before opening his own studio in 1982.

Daniel has photographed models and actors, both national and international, who have appeared on television and in major motion pictures. Executives and politicians have never looked better on digital. Fashion designers have also sought his services on national and international levels. DuVerney's major products and clients include: Johnson Products, Luster, Soft Sheen, Stone Container Corp., Kiss/FM Billboards/FIREMAN 2005 Calendar, City of Gary, Indiana Promotions for the Miss USA Pageant, James De Colon Designs, Chicago Bulls (Scottie Pippin, Ron Artest), Leo Burnett, ComEd, Anheuser-Busch (Michelob Golden Draft Calendars), recording artists Linda Clifford, Suzanne Palmer, Baby Face Edmonds, BILLBOARD MAGAZINE, AMERICAN IDOL Star Jim Verraros, Cabaret singers Terisa Griffin, Paul Marinaro and gospel singer Darius Brooks.

Daniel's photographic artistry has graced such magazine covers as: UPSCALE, PASSION INTERNATIONAL HAIR MAGAZINE, NUESTRA IMAGEN HISPANA, SOPHISTICATE'S BLACK HAIR, N'DIGO, PRIDE MAGAZINE (food issue), and the Polish fashion magazines EXPRESS and ON. Client's ads have appeared in VOGUE, HARPER'S BAZAAR, SALON SENSE and ALLURE.

currently, Daniel works with many of Chicago's musical talents and artists with styles ranging from ROCK to RAP, R&B, LATIN, POP, and GOSPEL. Music promotional shots and ALBUM/CD covers are a DuVerney Specialty.

Daniel's pageant photography includes work for the MISS ILLINOIS TEEN pageants, winners of the America and USA Divisions, photographing winners and contestants from other states as well.

Duverney is reputed as one of Chicago's finest photographers of children and his photographic styles span the spectrum of commercial to fantasy, beauty, fashion and lifestyle photography.
